Training and Consultancy

Sharing our expertise

SInce 1986 Survivors UK has been delivering services to adult male survivors of sexual abuse and rape. Making full use of that wealth of experience, we also offer awareness and training to other agencies whose client group may include male victims of sexual assault.

For many men who have been subjected to sexual abuse or rape, the experience can often lead to a range of psychological and mental health issues such as depression, stigma, isolation, anxiety, self-destructive behaviour and substance abuse. This can lead them to a variety of different agencies.

It is at these agencies that our training courses are aimed. Whilst many service providers have survivors of sexual assault in their client group, few of these providers feel that they have adequate knowledge to offer an appropriate service. Through awareness and education we hope to help enable providers to offer more sensitive and sophisticated services to men within an appropriate policy framework.

The courses

We currently have two one day formal workshops, these can be booked as a two day course or separately as one day courses.

Alternatively we offer a half day presentation or a one hour Question & Answer session, which is a more informal opportunity to discuss issues and working practices. We can also tailor courses to suit your individual needs

For your convenience we bring the training to you. This not only keeps costs low but also allows us to address your specific agency requirements.
