Face-to-face CounsellingTalking through your issuesSeeing a counsellor gives you an opportunity - the time and the space - to work on the issues that your experience of sexual abuse or rape might have created in your life. For some people it can be hugely helpful to meet with an experienced counsellor. It's a chance to talk about your issues with someone who won't judge or condemn you, or tell you what to do - they'll simply listen to you, believe in you and help you to look at yourself. All of our counsellors use their first class training and wealth of experience to help you deal with your problems at your own pace - one step at a time. If you are interested in face-to-face counselling, please phone our helpline to discuss your needs. The Survivors UK counselling service is only available in the London area, but if you live elsewhere, please still call us and we'll do everything we can to find you an appropriate service in your area. We have a database of Accredited Counsellors around the country, all of whom have an understanding of the issues for men who have suffered sexual assault at some point in their lives. All the counsellors on our list have attended our three-day assessment and accreditation workshop and have provided details of their qualifications, proof of supervision and police check. |
