How We Can Help You

Understanding childhood sexual abuse and male rape for over twenty years

We understand the effect which male rape and sexual abuse can have upon those who are forced to experience it, and we're well aware of the traumatic process which it can set in motion. If you are a man who has suffered sexual abuse or rape in the past, you can turn to us for help. We have a range of support options to help you recover from your experience and put the past behind you.

Firstly we can provide someone to talk to, through our National Helpline which is staffed by fully trained volunteers. It is confidential, anonymous and often the first port of call for those seeking help. We can also arrange for face-to-face counselling both in London, where we are based. We can provide information throughout the rest of the country via our links with other Survivor Agencies and our network of approved specialist counsellors.

Our Support Groups are a chance to meet and talk to people who have been through similar experiences to you; the experience of discovering that you are not alone is often a huge step along the path to recovery.

At Survivors UK, it is also our aim to increase public awareness of both the prevalence and effect of the sexual abuse and rape on boys and men. So this website also functions as a resource for anyone who wants to find out more about the subject. You'll find a wealth of useful information and links, recommended reading, a research area and news and media centre.

You can also find out about the highly regarded training courses that we offer, sharing our expertise with other service providers in the charity, care and health sector industries.

As the UK's only charity dedicated to helping the survivors of male rape and sexual abuse, we're here to help you.

If you'd like more information about anything you've read on this website, or if you'd just like to speak to someone, please call the Survivors UK National Helpline on 0845 122 1201 (opens Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays 7pm - 10pm).
