Survivors UK National HelplineSomeone to talk toEvery year, thousands of men call the Survivors UK National Helpline. Many of these calls are from men who are talking about their ordeal for the first time. The anonymity of a phone call means it can feel like the safest and easiest way of talking about what's happened to you and how it has affected your life. All of our Helpline workers are trained and knowledgeable in sexual abuse and male rape issues, and they work to the British Association of Counselling Ethical Framework, so your call will be confidential. We're here to provide information, support, and understanding, and you won't have to do or say anything you don't want to. If you would prefer, we can simply listen; just talking about your experiences can be a huge weight off your shoulders. For many men, it's the first step on the road to putting their past behind them. We're also well aware that men who have experienced sexual abuse are not the only ones affected by it. If you are a family member, partner or friend who has also been affected by the sexual abuse or rape of a man in your life, the Helpline is also there to help you, so please give us a call.
Here at Survivors UK, we're confident that we can help you, just like we've helped the thousands of people who have already called us. Please call the Survivors UK National Helpline number now, on 0845 122 1201 (opens Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays 7pm - 10pm).
