As part of a study being conducted by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office Acumen Fieldwork are looking to speak to men and women about the support they received after experiencing sexual assault whilst overseas. They are also looking to speak with the friends and family of men and women who have experienced sexual assault whilst overseas. The findings from this study will be used to improve support for those who have had similar experiences whilst abroad.

Interviews will concentrate on the help and support which you/your friend or family member may or may not have received, and anything which you believe may have been beneficial in assisting you/your friend or family member rather than the incident itself. They would also like to explore what additional support, if any, you feel would be required if the experience occurred overseas.

Interviews will last approximately 1 hour, and may be conducted face-to-face or by telephone.

The project is being carried out in accordance with the Market Research Society Code of Conduct. All comments from those interviewed will be treated anonymously unless prior agreement has been given, in accordance with the Data Protection Act. Personal details in respect of the research will be kept confidential and are not used for any purpose beyond this specific project. Records will be destroyed securely on completion of the project.
