Security Notice: Someone Is Pretending to Be Us

Yesterday we were alerted to two separate instances of accounts pretending to be SurvivorsUK online.
While we have reported these accounts, they have not yet been removed and we fear that the accounts may continue to pose as us until they are successfully removed.

So much of the work we do at SurvivorsUK strives to break down stereotypes around the experience of male, trans, and non-binary survivors and give survivors a safe place to talk about abuse. For that reason, the accounts posing as us are incredibly concerning because they may damage our reputation, and in turn our work.

That is why we are asking you, our clients, service users, supporters, and followers to stay vigilant over any correspondence you may receive from us.

Our verified social media accounts are:

Facebook: @SurvivorsUK
Twitter: @SurvivorsUK
Instagram: @survivorsukcharity

You will only receive an email from either [email protected][email protected]isva@survivorsuk.org, or from one of our staff members’ emails who should already be known to you.

Under no circumstances will you receive an email from us under the address [email protected]. If you receive an email from this address, please report it to us.
If you see a fake account posing as us online, or receive an email from an address you do not recognise, please notify us by emailing communications@survivorsuk.org.Thank you.
