Coronavirus service notice

Given the current situation and government guidance regarding COVID-19, we at SurvivorsUK are working to comply with actions which promote the health and wellbeing of all whilst also providing a consistent and supportive service to everyone.

We have decided that our office and all our client-facing services will be delivered remotely until further notice. This will involve the following:

Written helpline services (webchat, SMS, WhatsApp and email)

These will continue as normal. Any unexpected changes will be posted on our website.

The national telephone helpline for male survivors (provided by Safeline) is also currently still operating on 0808 800 5005.

Counselling services

Our counselling services will continue but will be provided remotely by ‘phone or video conferencing. This will be arranged with your counsellor.

ISVA service

Our Independent Sexual Violence Awareness service will continue but will be provided remotely by ‘phone or video conferencing. This will be arranged with your ISVA.

Groupwork services

Groups will not be held until after the 5th May but groupwork members will continue to be supported. This will be arranged through the Groupwork Team

The ongoing group, get-together, social events and wellbeing day are all postponed until later in the year

Office phone

For queries to do with services, please contact Katherine on 07467144369 or [email protected]

For emotional support, please use our written helpline services, or call the National Male Survivors Helpline on 0808 800 5005.

For general organisational enquiries, our office phone – 020 3598 3898 – will be diverted and answered by a staff member during normal office hours, or email [email protected]

Waiting List

If you are on the waiting list and you are offered an assessment, this will be offered to you remotely.

If you are allocated a counsellor during this period, your counselling will be offered to you remotely but with the possibility of becoming face to face after the 5th May

We realise that these are challenging times and we very much want to continue to provide a service which is supportive, caring and connected. Please do not hesitate to contact us via the methods above, or via your individual allocated worker.

With very best wishes from us all here at SurvivorsUK.
