Thank you for making our BBC Radio 4 appeal a success!

Thank you to everyone who listened, shared, and donated to our recent BBC Radio 4 charity appeal! Together you raised over £5,000!

Two weeks ago, producer, filmmaker and broadcaster Louis Theroux presented our appeal, focusing on the average time it takes for a man to talk about his experience of sexual abuse, which is currently 26 years, and how we are working to provide long-term support to men who are suffering in silence.

Last year, more than 2,000 people contacted us looking for help for themselves or for someone they care about. Our counselling, helpline and support services are here to help men deal with the devastating psychological impact of rape and sexual abuse.  We also challenge stereotypes and taboos that prevent men speaking about what’s happened to them.

The money raised through the appeal will help support our work and services, and will ensure more sexually abused men can have a safe place where they will be listened to and believed.

If you missed the appeal you can still listen to it online here and if you wish to make a donation, you can do so directly through our website here.

Thank you once again! Your gift is appreciated enormously and will be put to good use, both to help people who’ve been affected, and to raise awareness of the issue.
