At SurvivorsUK we have a team of Independent Sexual Violence Advisors (ISVAs). Our ISVAs can give you emotional and practical support if you have reported sexual abuse to the police or are considering reporting to the police. Our ISVAs can:
► Provide you with information on the process of going to the police and if the case goes to court. They can also come to the police and to court with you
► Give you information on health services and attend appointments with you
► Help you to think about your safety and what can be done to improve your safety
► Listen to your experiences and give you emotional support
Our ISVA service is open to men and boys over the age of 13, living in London and or if the abuse was committed in London.
If you are looking for an ISVA service for girls or women in London, please contact the London Survivors Gateway.
I think I would like to speak to an ISVA. What should I do?
1 Contact Us
2 Initial chat
One of our ISVAs will get in touch with you by phone, text or email, however you prefer. We aim to do this within five working days of you first getting in touch.
3 What help is right for you
You can chat with your ISVA about what sort of help will be right for you. We can meet and chat with you regularly, in person, by phone or online, depending on how much support you feel you need.
ISVAs are here to help, but they aren’t counsellors.
Want counselling? Please see here.
Not sure if the ISVA service is right for you? Contact our ISVA team for an informal chat – 02035983898 or [email protected].
