Group Work Connecting With Culture

As part of our Group Work programme, our facilitators Del and Roxy recently held a Connecting With Culture session in London with the help of one of our clients. As Del explains, this trip was a great opportunity for survivors to connect through art, something we hope to repeat soon.

“We met under the Lawrence Olivier statue at the National Theatre in London and were soon joined by around a dozen group work clients. One of our party was able to offer us a tour of history of key sights in the South Bank, including the Royal Festival Hall, The Haymarket Gallery, The London Eye and the Bernie Spain Gardens.

“The weather was hot, but not too hot. After the tour we enjoyed refreshments near the Oxo Tower, before taking a look around The Tate Modern. The  session was an opportunity for clients to get to know one another away from the world of ZOOM, whilst benefiting from the backdrop of art and nature.
